We are so very sorry to hear about Aleta. She came into our lives when we needed her most. She and Tony did so much for Mom (Laura)...Aleta with her care and smiles, and you Tony with your tormenting ☺ and your jokes. She will be missed by so many. I'm so glad I got to see Aleta, Eleanor, & Gloria a couple of weeks ago. Got a big hug and smile. So thankful Aleta was there for Mom when she needed her help and made her feel like family. I wanted to thank everyone who has wished me and our family well over the last few days. It’s helped us manage knowing there were so many people Aleta touched with her kindness; she was just that kind of person.
I wanted to thank the staff at the Saint John Regional Hospital (as well as the ambulance attendants) for their kindness and for all they did for Aleta, myself and my family while Aleta was in their care before her passing. They treated her so well and were patient and obliging with us as well. I truly appreciate all they did.
Special thank you to the staff at the Sussex sharing club, I know that Aleta really enjoyed her time with you all. Her time at the sharing club made her so happy and she considered you all her closest friends. Aleta could hardly wait to spend her time both at the sharing club and with her coffee buddies afterward. Thank you for all you have done for me and my family.
I also wanted to thank Wallace Funeral home (Steven & Sara) for all they have done for us, for their generosity, their sympathy and their kindness. They were able to make dealing with this awful tragedy much easier. I would specifically like to thank them for the gift they gave to us when they delivered Aleta home to the family. Aleta would have been so touched by your generosity as we all were. Thank you.
To my family, Aleta blessed me with 5 wonderful children, 2 boys and 3 girls. She may be gone but she left you behind to remind me of her, I see her in all of you. I just want you all to know how much you all meant to Aleta. Her family was her everything she had a special relationship with each and every one of you. Her children meant everything to her and she would do anything for you. Her love was always unconditional. Even though she isn’t here with us, she will always be in our hearts. Tell your loved ones how much you love them and hug them as often as you can because we don’t know when it could be your last time.
Aleta, I want you to know how much I love you and how much I miss you. I know you are in a better place and we will be together again someday. Life without you won’t be the same and I’ll be counting the days until we are together again.

All my love goes out to my family back east. I've been at a loss for words these past few days over the loss of my nan, even now I come up short. All I can really say is that I loved you and still do so much, a piece of my heart went with you.. I'm going to miss coming back and walking into your door and running up to you, having you wrap your arms around me. I'm going to miss you scolding me for not having a hat on Jackson when he's out in the sun. And most of all I'm going to miss hearing you tell me you love me. You truly don't know what you have until it's gone.. I know I didn't call you enough to check in and I never got around to developing those photos, and I'm sorry. If I can turn out to be half the woman you were then I'll have succeeded in my eyes. You were one of a kind, and your heart was made of gold. You were so loved nanny by so many. I'll see you when I get there.

We were so sorry to learn of Aleta's passing. Charlie has been very upset with the news and remembers his sister fondly. He tells us stories of how when they were growing up no one picked on him as his big sister Aleta would take care of him. And how she would have the wood that Tony brought home split and stacked before he got back with another load. Aleta was certainly a strong, loving woman who will be missed beyond words by her family. Our thoughts are with her children and Tony at this sad time.
