The LORD is nigh unto them that are of a broken heart; and saveth such as be of a contrite spirit. Ps 34:18
Condolence to all the family, Sis.Myrtis passing will leave such a huge hole. We are praying that the Lord will comfort each of you, and bring peace to all.
Sis. Myrtis was such a powerful influence in my life as a young Christian. I know I wouldn't know where I would be today if she hadn't taken me under her wing years ago when I worked at Pizza Delight. She was my very first 'Sister in the Lord" and her quiet yet strong heart was something I will always treasure. She never had to preach or give "long discourses" she just "was", and her godly example was felt in everything she did and said and it was greatly comforting and radiated peace to all who knew her.
By God's grace - I'll meet you in the rapture precious Sister!!

So sorry to hear of Myrtis' passing. I remember her for many reasons over the years but mostly working with her at the Tam O' Shanter. What an amazing cook, never complained and her employers, although difficult, held a great respect for Myrtis. I remember her getting the food truck ready on the early shift and making huge amounts of pickled eggs. I was only 16 but I can tell you to this day I do not peel an egg that this lovely lady does not come to mind.
May all your wonderful memories of your mother and your faith give you all comfort.
Sincerely
L

I am so sorry to hear of Myrtis' passing. She surely will be missed. She was my aunt by Marriage even though we were only 3 months apart in our age. We were little girls when we first met and I use to go to her Dad's store. Our family visited the Keirstead's quite a bit when we lived on the farm. I moved away to Toronto at 16, but always saw her and uncle Angus whenever I came home for a visit. Myrtis never changed. She was always laughing and very quiet spoken. I loved you Myrtis and my sympathy goes out to my cousins Levi, Kenneth, Raymond and their families. God Bless. I wish that I could be there for her going home service but i am unable to come because of my health. Love you all. Velzora.xo

Dear McLean family,
Thinking of you during this difficult time.Myrtis was a very wonderful person.Starting at Tam -O Shanter and Pizza Delight at the age of 14 and being shy was not easy.....but then Mrytis treated me like I really belonged there.......How could you be shy around her!!! She welcomed all the employees the same...taught us lots.....and believe me she could still get twice the work done that we did!!!!!! So glad to have worked with her and always had some great chats when I saw her in town.Rest in Peace Myrt !! Hugs !!
