Dear Connie, Grace and family:
We were so shocked to hear of Bev's death! I had just had a wonderful hug from him, not two days before, during the funeral line for my father. Life is so fleeting, isn't it! It is hard to believe.
Bev was such a humble, kind man. I so enjoyed his participation in our cantata choirs over the years. Remember Grace, the time you and Bev waltzed onstage? Everyone loved it! I also appreciated his "auctioneering" for our fundraiser and his awesome smile for everyone. I accompanied him when he played the fiddle at church and we had so much fun. Jim had a great visit with him just last weekend at the tractor show, for which he is extrememly grateful. Just think Connie, your dad and mine are celebrating in gloryland!! We however, are all left to pick up the pieces of our lives. Now is the time we really appreciate having and sharing those fantastic memories we will always cherish; we will rely more and more on family and friends as we reminisce about our great fathers God so blessed us with.
We are praying for all of you that God will give you His strength and His peace during the days and weeks to come.

Dear Mrs. Folkins and Family, please accept my sincere condolences on your loss. I have had the pleasure of knowing Bev for about 10 years and enjoyed meeting with him in his workshop when I was in town. His skills were amazing and his knowledge of anything to do with farm equipment was always impressive. He sold me a restored 1974 Ford 4000SU which I use on a regular basis. He told me that he sold this machine new and after 40 years he restored it and sold it to me.
I enjoyed my visits to chat with him and I will miss this gentle and wise man. I am so grateful to have known him. Thank you for sharing him with the rest of us. Alan Benton

Dear Grace, Sharon, Connie, Courtney, Katie, Taylor and family,
I had hoped to make it to the funeral home today but have a bad dose of the cold/flu. I will try to give you all a hug the next time I see you! Bev was such a great guy! Having seen him for years at the Folkins Family Reunions and then getting to know you both a little better after you started attending ACC, myself, as well as many others will miss him at the reunion and church. He was such a wonderful man of faith.
Dustin thought highly of Bev, as well. He had stopped by to chat tractors with Bev a couple of times and was encouraged by him.

If he was around at meal time, you know Dad would insist that he stay, and we always enjoyed the stories and tales of his childhood. The Canadian Plowing Organization and the multitude of plowmen from across this great Nation will remember Bev fondly, with respect and honour. He was full of positive energy, a great competitor and a very supportive individual to the Canadian Plowing Organization. Numerous times he volunteered as auctioneer for our fund raising events at the competition, regardless of what Province we were in. He new and understood the skill required to be a competitive plowmen and how important the plow was,as a symbol of peace,throughout the World. Bev will be missed, but there are many wonderful memories of our time with him and he will not be forgotten soon.
