Dear Evelyn,
I am at a loss for words. Ralph got to know our family through our Dad many years ago.
Ralph or his boys have come to assist so many times over the past 30 years ...it’s too many to mention. When my son first got his driver’s license I wouldn’t let him take the truck unless he had Ralph’s CAA number in his wallet.
Ralph’s stories and sense of humor will be remembered.

Please accept our deepest, deepest sympathies as you all mourn the loss of your husband and dad. Sandra and I are away this weekend and so won't be able to drop in to see you folks.
We moved to Apohaqui when I was 12 and from the time I've known Ralph, especially over the past 30 years, the goodness of who he was and the compassion that he would show to people was SO evident to me. That somewhat "tough" exterior was simply a front for a deeply caring heart and compassionate person. Whenever I had the chance to chat with him, that heart rose to the surface pretty quickly in every conversation. Those who took a few minutes to chat with Ralph got to see that.
Be assured of our thots and prayers during this difficult as you begin to adjust to this absence in your lives and the empty chair that will always be his. We wish that we were able to visit with you all at Wallaces but please know that we will be thinking of you all.

It is with a heavy heart that we learn of Ralph's passing. He has been a good friend for many years. Whenever we needed a part, a tow, a tire changed, a boost or some other service Ralph or his sons were always there to do it. As a mail driver who delivers their mail Ralph was always appreciative when I would take something to his door & he would bring us coffee to the post office or give us a gift card for Christmas. Whenever he would see me going on my deliveries he would smile & wave. We will miss seeing him. Our thoughts &prayers are with Evelyn & the family.

My great aunt Mary (Kyle) thought very highly of Ralph and wouldn't hear of using another company aside from Douthwrights.
I sank my vehicle to the rocker panels a few years ago at the Fairway, Ralph came and pulled me out (without laughing at me)...amazing since I should have known better. He also gave me the Apohaqui family and friends discount.
Kevin and Wanda your inherent kindness is such a great legacy passed along thru your family. I hope your sorrow at your dad's passing can be eased a little in knowing that you both exude the best of the qualities that made your Dad a favorite of so many people, and are passing those same qualities on to your children.
