Dear Joanne and family,
I am so sorry for your loss with David's passing. He has and will hold a very special place in my heart and memories. When I got to my first church in Haskinville, David was one of the first persons I met and his welcoming smile and warm greeting was a comfort to myself and my family. I was so impressed with the servant's heart and attitude you and David both exemplified at Family Camp, your actions have helped to mold me as a believer and a minister. I must also tell you that David was the only pastor in the district who contacted me and my family after the events of 9/11 and my subsequent deployment with the Air Force. Please know you are in our prayers and that David will be missed by all.

Dearest Joanne & Family:
When someone we love so dearly goes home to be with the Lord, we know they're in a much better place..... I know your pain is great today Joanne.
The many times we had together at various times when the family visited from Albert, were sweet memories for me. Dear David was such a kind, caring Husband, Father and Grandfather.
We met you and David when Norma Lee & Hazen were in Fredericton and I believe you folk at First Wesleyan (now Journey). I am so Blessed to have had the honour of meeting this Godly Man....
Thinking of you and what you and Dear David shared for many years. Precious Memories.....
Those memories are just for you to remember as time goes on, to help ease your sorrow and lead the way to peace.
David has now come to experience what his Christian Life has been all about. What a Glorious Hope for one who lived his life for the Lord. in preparation for His Eternal Home.
I remember a Funeral Service you and David attended at Journey in the past 3 years... He came to the kitchen to talk to the ladies. His comment was: Ladies I want to say Thank You today to each of you here in the kitchen preparing for the Funeral Reception" Also he had that beautiful smile entering the kitchen....
Praying God will comfort you and Bless the Memories your Heart Holds.....

JoAnne & Family
I sit with tears as he meant so much to me.
I will never forget the day the two of you so kindly waded down through natures rough path with Pastor Vaughn and a group of witnesses to get to my preferred place in the creek; where he so graciously baptized me. The two of you loved the experience and talked of it often. As back then most everyone was baptized in the baptismal at church; but I just wasn’t comfortable with that setting. Now as you know they offer the river baptisms.
A great man of God gone to be with our loving Father!
May God Bless you David

David was a giant of a man: Godly, loving, compassionate, intelligent, kind, and so much more. His influence was widely seen in many arenas, but nowhere greater than in his family. Precious wife Joanne and sons Jonathan, Jaime, and Andrew, along with their families, can remember with pride and gratitude all that David embodied. And all who knew him will remember his characteristic laugh and broad, winsome smile!
So many memories, from the time of David and Joanne's meeting and dating at what is now Kingswood University, through many years of acquaintance and enjoying their friendship, bring us to this day as a day of happy celebration of David's life and now his freedom from all that he has carried and endured for so long.
The love and care of Jesus carry you all as you figure out how to live in this world now without David's physical presence, but remember with joy and thanksgiving the blessings of his life and work for Jesus.
Never forgotten -- and in our thoughts and prayers --
We are making a donation to Kingswood in David's memory in order to facilitate the development of other young men and women who are preparing for all kinds of ministry.

As so many are attesting to already this morning, David was a wonderful and loved man.I felt so special when you and David visited me in the Moncton hospital when he was so sick and struggling himself.even at that time. He has had a hard, hard road but many would not know that as he always had that "silly little grin" on his face and kept pushing onward and upward with such a positive attitude. In the midst of all the sadness today I know underneath there is a great sense of relief for you, the boys, and all his loved ones that he is no longer suffering and is in the arms of his Lord. Our sincere condolences on the loss of David. We will miss him and his cheerful demeanour. Another one of God's gentlemen promoted to glory.
We are sure he will have been already greeted with joyful celebration in heaven and especially by Dr. Jim Ridgway and Ralph Ingersoll.

Joanne & Family know our thoughts and prayers for comfort are with you. Pastor David was one of the finest men and pastors that I have ever known. It was an honor to serve under him as a lay leader during his time at Victory. We think of you and he often and are so sorry for your loss, he will be greatly missed but know he is now celebrating.

Joanne, we are very saddened to hear of Rev. LeRoy's passing. It was indeed a pleasure to have him in our home and then to show you around the Avalon when you both visited Newfoundland. May God surround you and your family with his arms of love and may he support you through the days ahead.
