I was a friend of Paul’s when we we attended Bethany Bible College. We were in the Chorale together, and one summer we sang a duet together at the Wesleyan Church in Sussex. We lost touch after I moved to the US to study at Houghton College. I recall hearing that Paul had been in a car accident, but I didn’t realize how devastating it had been. I remember with fondness my friendship with Paul; he was a genuinely nice and sweet man. May you find comfort in your shared memories and in the love of family and friends.

To Mrs. Attoe, Walter, Philip, Faith and families:
I was deeply saddened to hear of Paul's passing. I have fond memories of Paul when he was at Grace Wesleyan here in Halifax. Paul's gentle ways and his kindness touched everyone that had the privilege of meeting him.
Paul joined my family for dinner many times while he was our pastor and we shared many memories of Sussex High, and living, him in Fox Hill and I in Norton. Even though I went through school with Philip and didn't know Paul well then, we soon began a friendship.
Paul's beautiful voice brought joy to many and he shared his love of music with us. I will never forget that it was my privilege to have Pastor Paul baptize me at Grace Wesleyan.
Paul and I also were neighbours in the last couple of years here in Halifax as we lived in apartment buildings next to one another. He always had a smile and a minute to stop and chat. His love of God was evident in all he did. After his accident, he continued to be a brighter beacon for all.
Thank you Paul for your friendship to me and my children.
Your family will be in my thoughts and prayers during this difficult time. God has gained a beautiful voice for his choir. God bless your families.

Dear Edith and family. My heartfelt condolences on Paul's passing. I first met the whole family when I attended BBC starting in Sept. 1975 and after that I always looked forward to my trips from Beulah Camp to church in Sussex until I moved back to Nova Scotia in 1982. I always had updates on your family and especially Paul and was saddened when his life changed in his accident. My prayers are with you at this time . Paul has no more physical problems, He is now in the presence 0f God.

Precious in the sight of the Lord is the death of his faithful servants. (Psalm 116:15 NIV)
I am sorry to hear about Paul's passing. Heaven is a better place since he is there. Paul was the greatest mind to come out of Bethany during our tenure there. We all looked up to him and revered his theological opinions - especially his views on Wynkoop's work, "Foundations of Wesleyan-Arminian Theology".
Well done thou good and faithful servant.
Again, I am sorry to hear this and please accept my condolences.

Our prayers are with you.Paul was a great inspiration to Grace and me as well as to all who were priviledged to have known him.
The following note is from my oldest son,Nolan, who was also greatly influenced by Paul:
QUOTE:
I was in Halifax from August of 1986 - November 1987. I stayed with Paul at his condo (church parsonage) for a couple months when I first arrived there. That sure made the transition from being at home to being in university at lot easier. Super nice guy and a caring talented pastor! UNQUOTE... Nolan Blinn, Calif.

My condolences to family and friends of Paul. I had the great privilge to meet Paul while working at the pharmacy below the special care home the past 2 years. Paul was alway happy, kind and full of positvity. My favorite was when i would say “how ya doing today Paul?” And his reply would be “oh, well yoy know” with that quirky giggle afterwards. Never heard him complain and he was such an inspiration to many. Thoughts and prayers to you all.

Paul and I were the best of friends in high school. We sat together on the bus, talked often on the phone in the evenings as we tried to figure out our math homework and enjoyed going to ISCF meetings and activities at Sussex Regional High School. Paul had such a wonderful sense of humour and was always a great listener. I'm so sad to hear of his passing and I want to extend my deepest condolences to his family. May your memories of Paul comfort you. I know he is in a better place.

Sending our heartfelt love and condolences to you all. We have such fond memories of Paul having been at Kings Valley Wesleyan after his accident as Pastor Jack Fancy mentored Paul. He was so very faithful and determined to serve the Lord even though it was so very difficult for him. I remember seeing him at Beulah Camp year after year, walking from the trailers (which were quite a walk from the tabernacle) with Bible under his arm and a huge smile on his face. I will never forget him. He remained faithful even though he had lost so much. Faith, we are so sorry that we will not be there to give our support, as we will be on our way south, but our prayers will be with you. May you find comfort, knowing that while you will miss a Paul dearly, you will see him again one day soon...not as he was here on earth, but with a perfect body, pain free but still with that huge smile. Hugs!
