I was so saddened to hear the news of the passing of Aunt Ruby, my Pop's (Edwin) only living sister. I remember meeting Aunt Ruby and Uncle Gordon only once during a summer holiday wth my parents Walter and Marina Critchley in either 1967 or 68. We went to visit them in Apohaqui, while my Great Grand Father James and Laura were up from Newfoundland for a visit. I would have been around 11 or 12 years old but I remember that visit vividly. Aunt Ruby was such warm and friendly woman. I remember her smile. I remember that it was a very happy visit for us all. I think I will find photos of that visit when I go through my Mother's albums. Deepest condolences to all of her family. She was a lovely lady.

To ALL of Ruby's family, what an amazing journey this very special lady had. She was always full of so much true heart felt passion for her family and never missed a monumental moment in any of your lives if it was at all possible for her to travel to witness it. Her wit, her smile, her tenderness, her knitting, her strength and her love was what made her so special. She has passed those qualities onto her daughters Rosalee and Feli I know for sure and Lee-Ann you have them also my friend. My heart is very heavy for all of you but what an amazing gift your family was given by having her for so many years. Ruby will be vivid in your memories forever.
To Lee-Ann, I love you my friend and I know how special Nan was to you, I know the bond you shared. You are just like her too, including the late nights <3 xoxoxo

Aunt Ruby was a beautiful lady who expressed sincere kindness to anyone she met. I have nothing but wonderful memories of her and uncle Gord. during summer visits with my grandmother Mildred aunt Ruby’s sister. My last memory was during a visit to Grand Manan Island aunt ruby and uncle gord met me at the ferry then we picked up a fresh fish and went to their cottage for a wonderful scoff and great hospitality.

To our dear relatives the Watters families
So sorry to hear of Aunt Ruby's passing. Many of our families have wonderful memories of Aunt Ruby and Uncle Gordon through the years.
She was a wonderful lady with a beautiful family.
She lived as the Critchley family did a very long life which we are all so happy for.
They were a very special family to all of us. We all tried to stay in touch with our relatives through the years, especially the sisters and brothers of our dear Aunt Ruby.
She was so loved and will be so missed.
