To Carl's family - I did not know Carl's family but worked with him at Transport Canada for many years. He was always a gentleman, a dedicated employee and he even hynotized me a couple of times at Christmas parties!!. My sincere condolences to all of you.

Back in the early mid 80’s we were into dirt biking around 5 points those day’s and Mr. Smidt was our leader- Evil to Dave’s Hollow over to Rushon town then down Mill Hill he was alway's leading the pack he owned those roads and he was a sight to behold, I will always remember - "Blue Sky” There was a time when I went along for one of those enduro rides, it was my first ride with our leader, Bob also came along, Mr.Smidt was concerned I was going to slow the pace, I made damn sure that was not going to happen, at the end of ride he was impressed and it meant a lot to 13 or 14 year old kid, lot's of good memories from those days. I didn’t have a chance to visit much the last 25- 30 years, however the times that I did drop in for a visit - it meant a lot. It was nice knowing you had one eye on that river and you were there at home with Mrs.Smidt, it was comforting for me be miles away to know you were both there. Sad to think you will not be at home anymore, hopefully you are at home somewhere else with your Mom and Dad and Bob, that’s where I will think of you being when I think of you. It was a pleasure to know you and along with everyone else I will miss you. Thank’s for the memories. Condolenses to Mrs.Smidt, Sue, John, and the rest of the family.
