Obituary of Thomas Anderson

It is with heavy hearts that the family of Thomas Nelson Anderson, age 94, of Newtown, NB, husband of Laura (Humphrey) Anderson announces his death which occurred on Monday, January 29, 2018 at the Sussex Health Centre.  He was born on July 10, 1923 in Smiths Creek, NB, a son of the late James and Lillian (Leake) Anderson.

Tom was very active in his community and held various offices in many organizations including founding member of the NB Agriculture Museum.

He is survived by his loving wife Laura, of 69 years; sons: Lawrence Anderson and his wife Muriel of Saint John, NB, Coleman Anderson and his wife Catherine of Newtown, NB; grandchildren Bryce, Laura (Mitchell) Webster, Jordan (Meghann); great-grandchildren Grace, Claire, Cole, Alex, Blake, Myah, Jorgia; sister-in-law Edris Anderson as well as several nieces and nephews.  He was predeceased by his brothers Murray, George, Seth, Manford, Lawrence and his sister Della McNally.

Arrangements are entrusted to the care of Wallace Funeral Home, 34 Sunnyside Drive, Sussex NB (506-433-1176) from where visitation will be held on Tuesday, February 6, 2018 from 1 to 3 and 6 to 8pm with the Orange Lodge L.O.B.A. #148 holding a Tribute beginning at 5:45pm. A Celebraton of Tom's Life will be held on Wednesday, February 7, 2018 at 11:00am from Wallace Community Chapel.
