So sorry to hear of Myra passing. Myra taught me how to knit,sew, and hook rug and how to make a quilt it's because of Myra my children have everything home made. I could not have ask for a better teacher Myra will be sadly missed she'll be forever in my heart rest in peace sweet lady. my thoughts and prayers are with the family at this time of sadness. The funniest thing I remember about Myra was when I was working with her at the house and she wanted to take me to town on the ride on lawnmower I had to talk her out of it for hours she finally settled to take me for a ride around the front yard it was the best time of my life. That ride on lawnmower hit speeds I didn't think it could Myra kept saying hold on. it was so fun I hope this brings a laugh hugs Stephanie Hovey.

All of us at Primrose Cottage SCH have been thinking of Myra since Crystal so kindly called me. Myra had a hard time making the decision to move into a special care home but once there she made it her home and I felt like she was my champion. She liked the staff but also had her favourites. We could count on Myra keeping us up to date on local happenings; she hated to miss a call! We had great talks about times past and who was related to who. The diningroom was always lively with chatter. She had the support of many in the community who made it possible for her to keep being involved in her many groups and meetings.It was wonderful to see that support in action. Staff enjoyed helping her get ready and making sure she had the right earrings on etc. She loved to bring home treats from her many meetings and I worried people might think our residents were starving! Church on Sunday was a vital part of her life and she loved that members of her family were there as well. We all knew Thursday nights were special as Richard and quite often April visited. We all will remember Myra fondly and extend our heartfelt condolences to her family.

Shocked and saddened that Myra — our sister in Christ and long-time Lower Millstream neighbour — has died. But greatly pleased and comforted that “Death” has unwittingly promoted her to glory. She was the senior member of the Millstream Baptist congregation — stalwart in her church attendance and commitment — thoughtful and kind-hearted (although she could also be blunt and critical, but always in a constructive way, of course). We will miss her enormously. On behalf of the Millstream Pastorate, grace and shalom to Richard and Barbara, to Donna, to Mary, to Myra’s grandchildren and their families, and to all the Longs and Pattersons.

Sending my sympathy to the family of Myra. She and mom lived at Kings Manor and Primrose Cottage for some of the same times. When mom was visiting Primrose for her first time, she was glad to see someone she recognized. They sat at the same table for meals. She always stopped and asked me about mom when I was in to visit her at both places.

I really didn't know Myra Long at all but I'm aware that my deceased mother (Margaret Anne Patterson) who was the daughter of Walter & Jennie Grace Patterson was related to Myra. I'm kind of the family historian and the only member of my family that knew some of Mom's relatives so I feel that I should send my condolences to you. Peace be with you always.
