Obituary of Myra Amelia Long

 

Mrs. Myra Amelia Long was born in Carsonville on August 5, 1925. She was the daughter of the late George and Gertrude (Ganong) Patterson and wife of the late Ralph Long who passed away in 1997.

 

The two most important things to Myra was her family and her faith. She was very active in her church, Lower Millstream United Baptist Church. She was also a member of the  Women's Missionary Society, the Young at Heart, Lower Millstream Sunday School and a member of the Women's Institute.  

 

Myra will live on in the hearts of her son, Richard Long and his wife Barbara of Penobsquis; her daughter-in-law, Donna Long of Berwick; her sister-in-law, Mary Patterson of Sussex; her grandchildren: Crystal Miller and her husband Stephen of Millstream, Virginia McFarlane and her husband Darryn of Sussex, Darren Long and Sherri Munroe of Sussex, April and her husband Jamie of Penobsquis and Craig Long and his wife Tryphena of Sussex; her great grandchildren: Ryan Miller and his wife Jessica, Justin McFarlane and his wife Amber, Jeremy McFarlane and his wife Stephanie, Sarah McFarlane, Tyler Long and Ally Muir, Krista Long, Camdyn Long, Maliyah long, Dominick Long and Brittany McPhee; her great great grandchildren: Colby, Chloe, Colton, Marissa, Maddie, Chase, Savannah; as well as several nieces, nephews and extended family.

 

Mrs. Myra Amelia Long of Sussex, passed away at the Sussex Health Center on July 24, 2018 at the age 92

 

She was predeceased by her son, Bob Long; her brother, Albert Patterson and by her great grandson, McCormack.

 

Arrangements have been entrusted to the compassionate care of Wallace Funeral Home, 34 Sunnyside Drive, Sussex, (506-433-1176) where visitation will be held on Thursday from 1-3 and 6-8pm.  

A service celebrating Myra's life will be held from Lower Millstream United Baptist Church on Friday, July 27, 2018 at 2:00pm.
