Obituary of James Middleton
It is with broken hearts that the family of James “Jamie” Allison Middleton, announces his death which occurred on Sunday, September 9, 2018 at the Moncton City Hospital, surrounded by his loving family. He was born on March 5, 1980, in Sussex, NB, a son of the late Frank and Theresa (McLaughlin) Middleton.
James grew up in Millbrook, NB and attended school in the Sussex area. He attained his undergraduate and education degrees from STU and UNB respectively, and then spent most of his teaching career at Sussex Middle School and Sussex Regional High School. James was a devoted teacher and formed genuine heart-felt bonds with many of his students who shared a deep respect and admiration for him.
James was known for exhibiting true kindness to everyone he encountered. He will be remembered for his wonderful spirit and friendly demeanor. James kept his humor even in the face of such a battle, always willing to crack a joke just for a smile. He was highly esteemed by friends and family, as well as the students he taught. He will be greatly missed by all those who were fortunate enough to cross his path.
Most importantly, James was a devoted husband and a proud father. He lived for the quality time he spent with his family at their home in Salisbury and looked forward to their weekend getaways at their cottage in Grand Lake. James also enjoyed four-wheeling with the guys, practicing his handyman skills around the house, and random road trips, with Alma as a favorite destination.
James is survived by his loving wife Laura; cherished twin boys Reid David Middleton and Benjamin Frank Middleton; brothers Danny Middleton of Red Deer, AB, Roger (Leslie) Middleton of Renfrew, ON; brother-in-law Marc McLauchlan (Nadia LeBlanc) of Cap Pelé, NB; nephew Jesse; nieces Miranda, Samantha, Mia as well as several aunts, uncles and cousins.
Arrangements are entrusted to the care of Wallace Funeral Home, 34 Sunnyside Drive, Sussex NB (506-433-1176) from where visitation will be held on Friday, September 14, 2018 from 2:00 to 5:00 and 6:00 to 8:00pm. Funeral Service will be held on Saturday, September 15, 2018 at 2:00pm from the Saunders Irving Chapel – Kingswood University, 20 Wesley Drive, Sussex.
