My deepest condolences to Susan, Jill, and Alicia. Blaine was a great man that poured his heart and soul into softball. It was an absolute honor to coach with him over 5 seasons and to stay good friends years later. I always valued his advice and his dedication to the sport he loved. He was so proud of our softball girls in Sussex and during our many trips around the province he always talked about how proud he was of his two softball daughters Jill and Alicia. I am so thankful that I got a chance to talk with him last week. Susan, Jill, and Alicia, if you need anything, I'm only a quick call away. Susan, I was both shocked and saddened when I read of Blaines death. He was such a considerate, loving person. We were so happy when he came to work with us at Public Health . I met Blaine in 1974 when I joined the holstein 4H calf club. He was 3 years my senior and had been a member for a while so I depended on him and others to help me learn. Blaine was patient and helpful. Later I worked with him at fire scenes during mutual aid calls . He visited our farm many times in his job as inspector. Blaine was always respectful, helpful and fair. I pause today to remember a friend and send condolences to his family.

We saw Blaine yesterday before we left Sussex.
He was dressed, alert and able to visit with us. He had lots of questions about the Fiesta flights and was happy to see a successful flying weekend for so many passengers, pilots and friends.
His brother and sister in law and Sue we're with him when we left.
