I had the privilege of travelling to Boston with Mike and some friends this past April to see a Bruins Stanley cup playoff game.

I was very saddened to hear of Mike's passing. I know he'd had some very serious health complications in recent years.
I first met Mike at his dad's garage in Penobsquis back in 70's. My grandparents used to go there for some of their service work.
Many years later I had the great fortune of going to NBCC Saint John with Mike as both of us were doing our block release for our mechanics license.
Mike was a good guy. Always willing to offer advice and help out where he could.
We've lost so many icons from the community lately and Mike was definitely a giant among them. He will be missed by everyone he knew.
