Obituary of Rev. Harvey McNair
Rev. Harvey D. McNair, age 88, husband of the late Mary (Price) McNair, passed peacefully from this life on Sunday, January 20, 2019 at the Sussex Health Center. Son of the late William and Clara (Long) McNair he was born at Apohaqui, NB on April 16, 1930.
Rev. McNair is survived by his sons David (Carol) of Saint John, NB and Rev. Jonathan (Denise) of Perth-Andover, NB; grandsons Andrew (Alisa), Matthew (Naomi) and Nathaniel McNair; great-grandchildren Nolan, Parker, Audrey and Lewis; sister Ruth Beechin; several nieces and nephews. Besides his parents Rev. McNair is predeceased by his beloved wife Mary, son Stephen, brother Walter and sister Luella Kilfillen.
Rev. McNair was a true Christian gentleman, well known for his big smile, amazing memory, consistent prayer life, anointed song leading and ministry of God’s word. He pastored 11 churches in New Brunswick, Maine and Nova Scotia and served in various positions with the Atlantic District of the United Pentecostal Church impacting many lives. He was dearly loved, well respected and will be greatly missed.
Arrangements have been entrusted to the care of Wallace Funeral Home, 34 Sunnyside Drive, Sussex, NB, (506-433-1176). Visitation will be held from Abundant Life United Pentecostal Church on Thursday, January 24, 2019 from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8pm. Funeral Service will be held on Friday, January 25, 2019 at 2:00pm from Abundant Life United Pentecostal Church. The interment will take place in Riverbank Cemetery in the Spring.
