Obituary of Jack McLean

With sadness, we announce the passing of John “Jack” Wallace McLean, who died peacefully at his residence in Picadilly, NB on Friday, January 25, 2019. He was born in Sussex, NB on April 26, 1950, a son of the late Arthur and Eretta (Keirstead) McLean and husband of the late Almeda (Kincade) McLean.

Jack was the kind of guy that was always either driving a truck or talking about them, it was definetly a love of his.   If you wanted a good laugh you just brought up the subject of Ford vs GMC you could be sure Jack would have something to say about it.  Jack loved making stops at the “Jiggly Rooms” around town and always enjoyed his visits with his girls.  If you were with Jack you never had to worry about a quite moment cause he would strike up a conversation with everyone he met.  One of Jack’s favorite things to do besides driving and taking about trucks was driving out the “Rum Roads” with Troy.  He will be missed by all that knew him.

He is survived by his daughters: Sherrie (Chris) LeBlanc of Morden, NS, Amber (Bob) Dorie of Marshall Hill, NB, Bethany (Brent) McIntyre of Long Creek, NB; step-daughter Trina (Mark) Langille of St. Martins, NB; son-in-law Leonard Denny; fourteen grandchildren; two great-grandsons; sisters: Janet Habib, Anna (Norman) Cunningham, Flora Murphy, Eleanor Keirstead, Shirley Lavoie; brothers:  Doug McLean, Talmage (Alva) McLean; as well as several nieces and nephews.  He was predeceased by his daughter Tammie McLean-Kelly; son Adam McLean; grandson Troy Lavoie; step-daughter Teresa Lavoie; brothers Ron McLean, Bill McLean, and Walter McLean.

Arrangements have been entrusted to the care of Wallace Funeral Home, 34 Sunnyside Drive, Sussex (506-433-1176) from where visitation will be held on Tuesday, January 29, 2019 from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8pm.  A reception will be held at the Sussex Legion, 66 Magnolia Ave on Wednesday, January 30, 2019 from 2 to 4pm.
