Obituary of Joyce Audrey McPhee

With heavy hearts we are saddened to announce that Joyce Audrey McPhee (Marr) formally from Penobsquis, passed away peacefully at Lakeview Manor, Riverview NB on January 29th, 2019 at the age of 87.  Joyce was born in Cornhill, NB on April 4,1931 a daughter of the late Garth and Gladys Marr (Rouse) and wife of the late Howe McPhee who died in 2003.

She enjoyed cooking, knitting, music and loved her family and friends.

Joyce was a loving mother to Gerald (Darlene) McPhee of Sussex, NB, Darlene (Peter) Black of River Glade, NB, Carol Long of Alma, NB and Ronald (Rhonda) of Riverview, NB; special niece Marilyn (Barry) Trenholm of Trenton, NS;  a grandmother to: David, Jason, Derrick (Jennifer), Jeff (Tish), Trevor, Michael (Heidi), Peter (Michelle Roy), Brent (Courtney Steeves), Steven (Sam), Shannon (Jamie), Michelle (Andrew VanBuskirk), Dean (Jessica), Carla (Ryan Duncan), Jake; a nana to:  Emma, Chloe, Malaki McPhee, Taylor, Leah, Zoe, Mya, Krista, Abigail, Rachel, Willow Black, Chase, Avery Stewart, Sophia, Summer Steeves, Williow Beaman, Weston, Hudson Duncan: a sister to: Carl (Lois) Marr, Mona (Bud) Caldwell; sister-in-law to Peechy Marr; a niece to her special aunt Irene Colpitts, along with several nieces and nephews.   Joyce was predeceased by two sons Lloyd and Derek; brothers Milton, Daryl (Frances); sisters: Marjorie (Walter), Doris (Jack), Bernice (Jack), Audrey (Jake) and son-in-law Murray Long.

Arrangements have been entrusted to the care of Wallace Funeral Home, 34 Sunnyside Drive, Sussex, NB (506-433-1176), from where visitation will be held on Saturday, February 2, 2019 from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8pm.  The Funeral Service will be held from Penobsquis Baptist Church on Monday, February 4, 2019 at 2pm.
