Jack Jardine

Obituary of Jack A. Jardine

It is with shock and a heavy heart that the family announces that Jack A. Jardine, age 79, a well known Sussex son, died suddenly of a massive stroke on Sunday, March 10 at the Saint John Regional Hospital. He was the eldest son of the late Walter and Bertha (Parlee) Jardine.

He was a helicopter pilot for 32 years and had many adventures to share. His youngest son Robbie has followed in his footsteps, also soaring the skies as his father.

Jack leaves behind his wife, Bonnie (Beatty) and his four children: daughter Jo-Ann (Robert Wilson) Lantz, NS, children: Jacqueline, Jeffrey; Son, Bill (Katie) of Halifax,NS, their children: Harrison, Carly Rose, Anna; Son Jim (Stephanie Ryan) Grenada and son, Robert (Tracy Thibault) Fall River, NS. Great-grandchildren: Jacob and Emma Clare; Sister, Sharon Rene de Cotre (Jacques) Litchfield Qc, Brother, Gary (Cheryl) Red Deer AB., Lloyd George (Francoise) Leduc AB.  Several nieces and nephews.

He was passionate about fishing, golfing, spending time in the outdoors, but most of all he was passionate about his family.  Pop/Papa/Grampy was adored by his children, grandchildren and two great grandchildren. He traveled all over Canada, Europe and Australia. He always looked forward to his Wednesday afternoons with the “Backwoods Boys”, and loved the good food, stories and general shenanigans.

We take comfort that his last weeks were spent sailing in the Caribbean, swimming in the ocean and dancing in the rain with his bride of 60 years. He will be greatly missed.

There will be a celebration of his life at the All Seasons restaurant in Sussex on Saturday, March 16 from 1-3 PM p.m.

Arrangements have been entrusted to Wallace Funeral Home (506-433-1176), 34 Sunnyside Drive, Sussex, NB.  Condolences to the family and donations may be made through WallaceFuneralHome.com
