Obituary of Teeny Sprague

It is with heavy hearts, that the family of Christina “Teeny” Ester (Kyle) Sprague announces her passing which occurred peacefully at the Kiwanis Nursing Home on Saturday, May 11th, 2019 at the age of 96. 

Born on May 20th, 1922 in Studholm Parish, Kings County; she was the wife of the late Richard Ezra Sprague and the daughter of the late Frank and Margaret MacIntosh (Brown) Kyle. 

Teeny was widowed in 1944 when her husband was killed in the war after being married for only 3 months. Although Teeny had no children of her own, she will live on in the hearts of her extended family. Being remembered as a kind, caring, loving and an active participant in their lives. Teeny worked at Sharps drugstore for over 40 years until her retirement in 1983.

Teeny is survived by her brother, Norman (Jeanne) Kyle of Ottawa, her sisters-in-law: Betty Kyle of Calgary and Carol Kyle of Sussex; as well as many nieces, nephews, great-nieces and great-nephews. 

In addition to her husband and parents she was predeceased by her brothers: Fred Kyle, Ronald Kyle and her sister-in-law, Jean, Ray Kyle and Bob Kyle and by her sister, Lenora “Norrie” Norrad and her brother-in-law, Douglas Norrad.

Arrangements have been entrusted to the care of Wallace Funeral Home, 34 Sunnyside Drive, Sussex (506-433-1176) from where visitation will be held on Thursday, May 16, 2019 from 5-8pm.  The Celebration of Teeny’s life will be held from the Sussex Baptist Church on Friday, May 17, 2019 at 11:00am.
