Our prayers and sympathy embrace you all. Have was so special to everyone he met and was very special to our family. Mom & Dad were close friends with Have through the years and we had the good fortune to know Have through them. It was always so special when my Mom & Dad came to visit as we would always have coffee with Have and every time we did we would always marvel at how nice he was and how well he was doing. Have was a gift to all who knew him - he will be missed deeply but we have Fatih that he is in his eternal home.

Carolyn & Family. We were very sorry to learn of your Father's passing. We enjoyed him since we first met him and looked forward to the after Sunday Church service social time. Having a Daughter serving in the Canadian Military added an extra dimension at times to our conversations.
We regret that we will be out of the Province when the Service is held at CHWUC.

Dear Carolyn
It was with great thankfulness that we received your call today. We (my mother, Helen Ellis and I) have good memories of your dad cutting my hair in the barbershop or attending Legion services. We are happy we connected just last month.
At age 96, I noticed a tear of sadness in Mom's eyes today, your dad being just two years older. More than ever, as her time to leave us draws closer, may we all appreciate those around us whom we have loved.
Your dad sounds like he lived such a full life and the stories he could share brought many joys.
We are thinking of all your family during these busy days and keeping you in our thoughts and prayers.
My (and my husband's) stone is correctly in Kirk Hill cemetery where my father was also laid to rest and where we will be some day when the Lord calls us home.
Embrace your memories of your dad and of his kind and loving spirit.
Love, Wendy and Helen

Dear Carolyn and Family, my sympathies go out to you and your Dad”s Family especially at this time when many of us return home to Sussex with memories of your Dad , at work, at Church, as friend, neighbour and a Community pillar that in a number of ways helped to shape our lives and values! And of course for me in later years it would be the “catch up” on everything Sussex over a freshly brewed Secind Cup!
Have enjoyed a great life and will be missed.
Sincerely
Bill

Gone but will not be forgotten, this lovely, brave, charismatic
friendly human being who in his early life was prepared to lay down his life for his family and friends. And no doubt would have been prepared to do likewise if the occasion demanded it. We were blessed to have known you, Harve over the last ten years of our lives and to have shared so many happy occasions with you. We’re especially grateful that you made yourself readily available to speak to the “Ladies of the St.Ann” at St. Vincent de Paul Parish. They all fell in love with you. Likewise you were always close to our heart and will miss your happy countenance at our Community events. Rest In Peace, dear friend. Your admirers, Michael & Margaret

Have was one of the most intelligent men I know! He seemed to know something about everything. I suppose that happens when you’ve lived almost 100 years of life. Have and I had hair cutting in common, we talked a lot about new ways to cut hair and he even showed me a few tricks of the trade. Have had the best memory that I have ever witnessed, he would schedule a hair cut with me and tell me don’t worry I’ll call you on that morning to remind you cause your memory is not good. And he wasn’t lying! I need reminders for everything! No matter how long in advance he made that date , he always remembered. I will never forget when he decided to stop driving which was only a couple years ago! He sat at the house and told us, “ I think I will stop driving now, you know if I ever get into an accident no matter if I’m at fault or not, they will blame the old guy” he said!! A week before he passed we were visiting, and he was as smart as can be! Thank you god for not allowing him to suffer any, we will all miss him dearly as the world don’t possess many more like him.
