It is with broken hearts that the family announces the passing of Jan-Jaap Barkhof, which occurred unexpectedly at his residence on February 3, 2020. Jan-Jaap was born in Assen, Netherlands on May 15, 1989, a son of Hendrik and Janna (Post) Barkhof. Besides his parents Hendrik and Janna, Jan-Jaap is also survived by his sister Yvonne Barkhof of Berwick, NB; brothers: Jeroen (Jessika) Barkhof of Head of Millstream, NB, Theo (Stephanie) Barkhof of Ponoka, AB, Martino Jansen (Cassandra) of Ponoka, AB; nieces and nephews: Travis, Breanna, Kennedy, Kohan, Camryn, Cassidy and Casin. Arrangements have been entrusted to the care of Wallace Funeral Home, 34 Sunnyside Drive, Sussex, (506-433-1176), from where visitation will be held on Thursday, February 13, 2020 from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8PM. A Funeral Service celebrating Jan-Jaap’s life will be held on Friday, February 14, 2020 at 2:00PM from Wallace Community Chapel.
