George's ambition, energy, lust for life, and charitable endeavors were almost beyond measure. If there is such a thing as a soulmate, truly he had found his in Phyllis, as they partnered in the kitchen, on the dance floor, in travel, at the casino, at the Windjammer, and in other activities too numerous to mention. Dance into eternity on a high note, George and Phyllis.
Your cousin Kate

Our deepest sympathy to George's family. He gave me my first job at Uncle Fred's, I was only 15. We always stayed in touch, and years later he provided the baked goods and his famous baked beans to the hospital and KHH. In more recent years he was Mike's representative in this area. We will miss our friend although I'm sure that he is in a happier place, reunited with his precious Phyllis. RIP

When my Mom passed, George sent potato scallop, beans, brown bread and ham to the funeral home for us to have for supper during the visitation. He wouldn't let us pay for it, saying that he did it for Shirley and Herb. Mom and Dad loved eating at Mama George's and it meant a lot that he did that for us when we were grieving. That's the George I will remember. My condolences to his family.
