Back in the 50's my Dad and I cut our winters wood on the Murray wood lot in Picadilly .Bill and his Dad would visit from time to time. Those were the good old days .I remember Bill as a quiet hard worker and I share memories of their wood lot as a pleasant part of the area. Rest easy Bill Sincerely Ritchie Folkins

Sorry to hear of Bill's passing. I enjoyed his many stories over the years. Especially of his pitching exploits and many baseball stories. He often complained that some of the current Blue Jays didn't try hard enough! He was one of a kind with a heart of gold.

Bill, I got to know years ago when I bowled as a teenager. In later years, when working as a Public Health Nurse I visited Bill after his open heart surgery. We both spent time out on the service road in Picadilly and would stop and have a visit. Bill would be heading for his wood lot while I was on my walk. Then in more recent years we met up again at the bowling alleys. No matter where we were Bill was always the same, the true gentleman he was. RIP Bill. You are and will be missed.

To all the Murray Families our deepest sympathy. My cousin Bill and I made many phone calls and I will sure miss our chats. He was a humble quiet gentleman but a great ball player and awesome bowler. Oh how he enjoyed going to his wood lot and if his tractor broke down he would call me for advice, as he could do his own repairs. May many cherished memories be of comfort in the next few months, we know Harley will be lonesome without his brother. God Bless.

My memories of Bill are from Sunday nights at the Cardwell Baptist Church which he attended regularly with his family. He sat in the second pew from the back on the right. He was a really good baseball player and as I remember played first base with the big trapper's mitt, the first one I had ever seen. He was a member of the Cornhill Aces. Always good memories of Billy and our condolences to Harley and the extended family. He surely looked like his dad, Tim!

Hi All
You are in our prayers. I will always remember Bill as such a kidder. Growing up he would tease me every time we came over. I loved the sugar woods. He explained the process of making maple sugar when I was young. I remember when I would cross the highway to get the milk at Uncle Tim's for Granny, Bill would always have some funny remark to tell me. I will let Dad know. He would always want to visit Bill every time we would go to Penob. We will miss him.
