Obituary of Larry Voutour
With broken hearts and sadness, we announce the passing of Larry Wayne Voutour, who died peacefully at his residence in Sussex, NB, on Wednesday, June 3, 2020 at the age of 65. Larry was born in Sussex, NB on July 21, 1954, a son of the late Lawrence and Fannie (Ogden) Voutour.
Thru out his life Larry was a hard-working man and he instilled this work ethic to his family. He drove truck for Doug Norrad in the early days of his marriage. When he found out they were going to have a family he started work for Shur-Gain where he had worked for 40 years before retiring. Even when he was transferred to Moncton he would show up no matter the weather. He was a devout Toronto Maple Leaf’s fan and enjoyed doing wood working in his shop in the basement. If there was something you couldn’t buy he could probably build it.
He was always willing to lend a hand to those in need and would do whatever he could for anyone. As his health got worse, Star Trek and his games on the tablet helped him pass the time.
He was a dedicated father and a loving husband and is survived by his wife of 45 years, Faye (Simpson) Voutour; daughters: Susan (Ralph) Hall of Parleeville, NB, Melissa Voutour (Matt Murtagh) of Sussex, NB; special grand puppy Lily; brothers: John (Brenda) Voutour, Walter (Cecile) Voutour, Kenny (Lana) Voutour, Anthony Voutour, Paul (Gail) Voutour; sisters: Doreen Barton, Cheryl (Lloyd) Simpson, Mary Voutour; as well as several nieces and nephews.
Arrangements have been entrusted to the care of Wallace Funeral Home, 34 Sunnyside Drive, Sussex (506-433-1176). Due to COVID-19 the funeral service will be held privately. Interment will take place in Gosline Cemetery, Knightville.
