I miss you Nan... I will always see the twinkle in your eyes when you were teasing. I will cherish the scents that bring me to your house. I will look for the birds that remind me of your feeder. I will always remember your gentle touch As i embrace the hugs the from my family I will feel your presence. I love you, till we meet again.
She always rubbed my hand with her thumb...I have so many great memories... trips all over Toronto, Main, Manitoba, New Bruswick. She was proud to have family and friends in the Sussex region and was devoted to the Legion. She always shared her memories with me... and all of you are in them. Thank you for the sharing your stories. Wish I was listening to all your memories in-person.

Paul, Lynn, & Judy. So sorry for your loss when I see your Mom's picture it brings back some wonderful memories. I worked with Gladys many moons ago & looking back can't imagine how she kept her cool putting up with a revolving door of young school kids asking endless questions as she tried to look after her own customers. Not knowing the difference between an orange & grapefruit or lettuce & cabbage constantly needing to borrow a pen, stapler etc. All because we were more interested in what time our shift ended and where we were going after. I'm sure when the schedule was posted for the week she must have shook her head in disbelief at who would be working beside her with constant Gladys whats this? How much is this? etc. She taught me a lot over the years especially I like to think she is responsible for some of my common sense & especially how to treat not only co workers but people in general. May she rest in peace & I hope that you are able to look back with a chuckle as I am doing with the memories.

Gladys lived across from my mother ( Gladys Crothers) on NelsonStreet and I always appreciated your mother’s many kindnesses to my mother giving her drives etc and being a good friend to mum as I didn’t live in Sussex at that time. however in 1991 my husband retired and we moved back to Sussex and we became friends with your mother too.
