Obituary of Gladys Beatrice Veysey

It is with great sadness the family would like to announce the passing of Gladys Veysey, 90, of Moncton, at the Briar Lea Nursing Home surrounded by her family. Born in Poodiac, she was a daughter to the late Esmond & Ethel (Stanwix) Tabor.

Gladys retired from the Sussex Save Easy where she worked most of her life. She was a member of the Sussex Legion and a local bowling team. Gladys loved her family.

Gladys will be survived and sadly missed by her son, Paul (Lynn) Veysey of Penobsquis; her daughter, Judy (Jerry) Doucett of Moncton, her grandchildren, Sabrina Steeves and Brandy (Nick) Doucet; her great grandchildren: Logan, Ella and Marissa as well as several nieces and nephews.

Besides her parents, Gladys was predeceased by her special friend, Frank Gaunce and her brother, Clifford Tabor.

The family would like to express a sincere thank you to the staff of the Briar Lea Nursing Home on Ryan street.

Arrangements have been entrusted to the care of Wallace Funeral Home, 34 Sunnyside Drive, Sussex, NB (506)433-1176. Due to Covid-19 all arrangements will be held in the spring.

Donations in memory of Gladys may be made out to The Hospital for Sick Children or to a charity of the donor’s choice.
