Obituary of Carol Anne Foster
It is with sadness the family would like to announce the passing of Carol Foster, 63, on January 25, 2021 at the Sussex Health Center after a long courageous battle with Cancer. Born in Sussex, she was a daughter to the late Winston & Mavis (Goater) Teakles.
Carol represented the true meaning of family. Her motherly instinct ran deep, even at a young age. She became like a second mom to her younger sister after her mother passed away and later cared for her aging father.
At the age of 17, she caught the eye of a young man and within 2 short years they got married and started a family of their own. Many years and 7 children later, Carol’s home was bursting with happiness, joy and love.
Carol filled her days caring for her family and her nights were reserved for “teatime” with her best friend Linda.
Later on, Carol’s heart expanded with love for her grandchildren, which were her pride and joy.
Carol’s favorite time of year was summer. Through the week she could be found pool side, in her flower gardens or walking her dog Sawyer. On the weekends she spent time with her trailer family swimming, boating and sitting around the campfire listening to the boys play the guitars.
Carol took on many roles in her life. She was a wife, a mother, a nana, a sister, a best friend, but most of all she was the calm in everyones storm. Even when she was battling cancer, she always reassured everyone she was going to be ok and not to worry. Her strength was incredible and her love will never be forgotten.
Carol will be survived and sadly missed by her loving husband, Kenneth Foster of Sussex; her sons: Joel Foster of Alberta, Alex (Janell) Foster of Rothesay, Josh (Andrea) Foster of Sussex, Isaac (Ariel) Foster of Sussex and Micah Foster of Sussex; her daughters, Erica (Neal) Mercer of Sussex and Hannah (Ryan) Foster of St. John; her brother, Eugene Teakles of Sussex; her sister, Susan (Chris) Forgrave of Collina; her grandchildren: Colby, Victoria, Charlotte, Ella and Olivia as well as several nieces, nephews and cousins.
Besides her parents Carol was predeceased by an infant brother, Hugh Teakles.
