Obituary of Anne Margaret Moffett

Our family is grateful for a life well lived as we announce the passing of Mrs. Anne Margaret (McQuinn) Moffett at her home on Friday, April 23, 2021. Anne was born on December 9, 1923 to Warren and Emily (Smith) McQuinn and on December 9, 1946 she married David Moffett.

She was a mother, grandmother, aunt, a seamstress, knitter, traveler, musician, artist, quilter, gardener indoors and out, cardplayer and a dear friend.

She will live on in the hearts of her children: Douglas Moffett (Ida), Stephen Moffett (Marlene) and Margaret Crothers; her daughter-in-law, Brenda Moffett; her sister, Beth McFarlane; her grandchildren: Catherine Moffett (Scott), Heather Moffett (Cully), Sean Moffett (Deanna), Luke Moffett (Tammy), Jonathon Moffett, Natasha Hazen (Corey), Michael Moffett, Frances Roderick (Stephen), Peter Moffett (Chantal), Dawn McLean (Brayden), Paul Moffett (Patty), Wendy Larsen (Steven), Krista Toner (Joey), Laura Schuster (Ben), Emily Cormier (Ricky), and Andrea Crothers (Brett); 48 great grandchildren; 3 great great grandchildren and her dog, Heidi; as well as several nieces and nephews.

Along with her parents and husband, Anne is predeceased by her son, Donald Moffett; her son-in-law, Donald Crothers; her sisters: Glennie Dick, Jean Welton and Mary Kelchauser and by her brother, Aiton “Joe” McQuinn.

Arrangements have been entrusted to the compassionate care of Wallace Funeral Home, 34 Sunnyside Drive, Sussex, NB (506-433-1176). A celebration of Anne’s life will be held on Monday, April 26, 2021 at 2:00pm from St. Paul’s United Church. Due to Covid-19, please call the funeral home to reserve your seat. The Family would like to express their deepest thanks to the caregivers who took such great care of Anne: Dawn, Sheila, Carol, Wanda, Ruth, Phyllis, Charlene and Jean. Your kindness and compassion will never be forgotten.
