My thoughts are with you Margaret and your sons & families during this difficult time. I never drive by your previous home in Youngs Cove without thinking of you both. The days of Suppers at the community Legion, dances, community members Anniversarys, Birthdays celebrated by all.They began with a lot of hard work by the ladies & men of the community which of course included you & Alvin. I remeber him always smiling & willing to do whatever was asked to help out. I remember him setting up many tables and chairs, carrying in food and not sure about dishes but would not be surprised if he helped out in the kitchen as well. He was so highly thought of in the community. I was also privileged to have been given a drive home to the lake from Saint John with Alvin in the Big Rig once when I was in need of a drive. If not for him I would have spent my four days off sitting in my room at residence so I was always so grateful for his kindness. My sincere sympathy to each of you for your loss.

Dear Margaret,we are both very sorry to learn of Alvin’s death.I have many fond memories from our early years growing up in Young’s Cove with its cherished one room school.Alvin was a class A student and a good friend.In later years,when you entered the picture and Alvin had that fancy car with the blue interior lights.he was the envy of us all.
