Obituary of Clyde MacNeil
Clyde T. MacNeil was born on May 18, 1934. He was the youngest son of Rodrick and Annie (Anderson) MacNeil.
He was proud of his grass roots in Cape Breton. He loved animals and nothing ever went hungry. Clyde loved the outdoors and was an avid beachcomber. He was always into exercising; especially being a boxer and a weightlifter.
He was employed by CPR, that took him to his employment with the City of Saint John, Local 18. He remained there until his retirement and then two o’clock became very important to him.
He will live on in the hearts of his best friend, Donna Nicholle; he was a father figure to Dean Nicholle (Darlene) and Sheldon Nicholle (Aimee); he adored the seven grandchildren, one of which he was very proud to have named: Moses; he is also survived by his brother, Donald MacNeil and his wife Barbara of Saint John and of course his “Puppy Monkey”.
Clyde MacNeill passed away at the Sussex Health Centre on January 31, 2023 at the age of 88.
Along with his parents, he is predeceased by his sisters: Alice Fisher and Bertha Carey; his brother, Allan (Bing) MacNeil and by two nephews: Robin MacNeil and Cyril (Butch) Fisher.
Arrangements have been entrusted to the compassionate care of Wallace Funeral Home, 34 Sunnyside Drive, Sussex, (506-433-1176). At Clyde’s request all arrangements will be held privately.
