I have known Carol Ann my whole life. We were Nelson Street children, friends and close neighbours growing up. Beulah and Wilfred were my Godparents.
Carol sent this photo to me not long ago and a message just recently telling me that she felt my Sister, Marg, and I were like sisters to her and I responded that we felt the same.

As first cousins Carol Ann and I knew each other as young kids. She would visit us in Southfield with her Mum and Dad. My most unforgettable memory of her was swimming in our swimming spot in the meadow. To me she was an Olympian swimmer and I was determined to be just like her. It didn’t happen, but just watching her helped me become comfortable in the water and become a leisure swimmer.
My condolences to you Shawn. Losing a Mum leaves a large hole in our hearts. Hold your precious memories close.

One of the Good ones gone way too soon. My Friendship with Carol goes back to when we became friends in Grade 7. If I wrote a book on our many Shenanigans I’m sure it would be a best seller. I came to know Carol when she worked at Reg Hunt's law office. She was so smart and efficient! Our friendship grew from there and will be one I treasured. Her quick smile and wit were always a joy. Sooo sorry for this loss. Rest in peace Carol.

Shocked and broken hearted to learn of Carol Ann’s passing. We became close friends when she moved to Nelson St when we were 9 years old. We hung out together so much and we spent a lot of that time laughing. We called ourselves “the giggle girls”, much to the embarrassment of my older sister. She could say those one liners with a straight face. Our memories were dear and precious to us. When we hadn’t seen one another for a while, we would just picked up like we had seen one another yesterday. Rest In Peace my dear old friend, from the sunny slopes of long ago!
